This table lamp FAQ answers the questions we are asked most: delivery, returns, power, natural stone, care and gifts. In short, standard delivery in the US is free and takes 8 to 12 days, returns are accepted within 30 days, and only two of our thirteen lamps are rechargeable.
Delivery
How much is delivery, and how long does it take?
Standard delivery is free in the United States and takes 8 to 12 days. Express delivery takes 6 to 10 days. Its price is shown at checkout, before you pay, so you can compare the two options and choose the one that suits your date.
How is a lamp packed?
Each lamp is packed by hand, with stone, glass and metal protected separately. It then travels by standard or express delivery, as chosen at checkout. If the lamp arrives damaged despite this care, report it within 7 days with photos, and we replace it or refund it.
How do returns and refunds work?
Can I return a lamp?
Yes. You can return a lamp within 30 days if it is not right for your room. Return shipping is paid by the customer. Our return policy explains each step, and you can write to us first if you have a question about the process.
When will I be refunded?
The refund is made within 10 business days of our receiving the returned lamp. Return shipping is paid by the customer, so plan for that cost when you send the lamp back. If you have not seen the refund after that time, write to contact@bellerives.com with your order details.
What if my lamp arrives damaged?
Report it within 7 days, with photos, by writing to contact@bellerives.com. Describe what is damaged and add your order details. Once we have seen the photos, we replace the lamp or refund it. Clear photos help: the whole lamp, then the damaged part up close.
Power and light
Which lamps are rechargeable?
Only two: Silex, in travertine with a bronze dome, and Auren, in natural stone with a fabric shade. Both are cordless and rechargeable. Every other lamp in the collection, Macara included, is corded and plugs into an outlet. Plug-in lamps are meant for a fixed place in the room.
How long does a charge last?
Silex and Auren give about 12 hours of light on a full charge, from a 4,000 mAh battery and a 3 W LED. A full charge takes about 6 hours, at 5 V. Auren charges through a magnetic connector under its base, and switches on with a touch on top.
Can a Bellerives lamp light a desk or a reading chair?
Not on its own. All our lamps are ambient lamps: they set the mood of a room, not light a desk or a kitchen. Each lamp is photographed in a real room, and the light described on its page matches what you see. If you need to read, add another light.
Stone and care
Will my lamp look exactly like the photos?
The shape and the proportions will. The veining will differ. We work with natural stone only, marble and travertine, chosen block by block for veining, color and density. Every block is different, so the pattern on your lamp will be its own, and never the same twice.
Where are the lamps made?
Bellerives is a French lighting house. Our lamps are designed and made in small numbers in the workshop of a French artisan. For the stone parts, we use natural stone only, marble and travertine. Rubra is the exception: its body is a lacquered polymer composite in deep burgundy.
How do I clean a marble or travertine lamp?
Dust the stone with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Avoid acidic and abrasive cleaners: marble and travertine are calcareous stones, sensitive to acids. Travertine is porous, so wipe spills quickly. Clean glass only once the lamp has cooled. Our care guide covers every material, lamp by lamp.
How do I choose the right size?
Measure the surface first: its depth, and the space above it. Our lamps run from 8.3 inches tall for Rubra to 19.7 inches for Zenith. The table lamp size guide lists the height, width and power of all thirteen, with notes for nightstands, console tables and sideboards.
Gifts and contact
Can I give a lamp as a gift?
Yes. Plan for delivery: 8 to 12 days in standard, 6 to 10 in express. Choose for the room the lamp will live in, its size and whether there is an outlet nearby. If it does not suit, it can be returned within 30 days, with return shipping paid by the customer.
